Wisteria Graphics' Design Process

As with everything in life, we'll get out of this what we put into it. Good design rarely happens with a stroke of genius (although it is great when that happens!). Because graphic design walks a fine line between art and function, it generally takes a lot of thought and research up front (function), followed by taking the time to explore a variety of expressions (art), followed by several rounds of editing the content and refining the design (art & function).

At Wisteria Graphics, the design process always begins with good listening. At our complimentary, first meeting my focus is on understanding your business, discovering what makes your company unique, and learning what design services you'd like. After the meeting, more research is done to gain a deeper understanding of your business, customers, competitors, marketing environment, and industry standards. At this point a conceptual plan will be prepared and presented to you. When we are in agreement on the direction and goals of the project(s), the design process begins.

After the designs have been presented to you, and the choices narrowed to "the chosen design", we move into the production phase. Web sites are programmed, photographs are taken, text is set, and we work collaboratively through an on-going editing and refining process. Finally the happy day arrives when we agree it's all good and the design goes to press or is uploaded to the Internet.

The final result expresses the unique qualities of your business, distinguishes you from your competitors, and entices your audience to respond.
